Multi-vector cooperation is the goal of the Embassy of the French Republic delegation visit to the Academy

The meeting of the foreign delegation of the Embassy of the French Republic with the attache of law enforcement issues Colonel Jean-Marc Chambon with the leadership of the Academy and representatives according to fields was held at the National Academy of the National Guard.  

The purpose of the event was to get acquainted with the activity of the Academy, hold negotiations on the future directions of international cooperation and already existing projects, and detail the next steps, in particular in the direction of specialists’ training in public security, professional intervention and learning the French language.

Law Enforcement Attache Colonel Jean-Marc Chambon noted that the exchange of experience between the countries would increase opportunities for the units of both structures.

"Our cooperation has been going on for many years and we are open to mutual cooperation. It is very important for us to continue sending our experts to Ukrainian units in order to study more deeply your combat experience", – Colonel Jean-Marc Chambon said.

During the meeting, the representatives of the delegation noted that the emphasis of further cooperation will be based on the fact that the National Guard of Ukraine should acquire the status of the "observer" in EUROGENDFOR in the near future.  This cooperation involves conducting joint exercises, introducing innovative methods and European experience in the training of Guardsmen and transferring their experience to the European colleagues.

"The Academy has long-standing good relations with the Embassy of the French Republic in Ukraine. We are grateful for the recent initiative of the Embassy of the French Republic in Ukraine to support intensive courses of the French language learning, because learning in an environment of native speakers is more productive. I also want to emphasize that all previously announced initiatives will be implemented and I am sure that with your persistence this will be the case. This will significantly increase cooperation and bring our Academy closer to the family of European law enforcement educational institutions, as well as strengthen the role of the National Guard of Ukraine as a law enforcement structure in general", –  the acting Head of the Academy Colonel Oleksii Lunov addressed the audience.

It should be noted that recently, on the initiative of the Embassy of the French Republic in Ukraine, a group of military personnel from intensive the French language courses, led by the Senior Lectures of the Language Training Service of the Language Department, Halina Bezbavna, went for an internship at the specialized center CAVILAM Alliance Francaise (Vichy, France).
