Cadets of the Academy are preparing for the combat use of complexes on simulators
An important element in the training of a real specialist is undoubtedly a large number of practical classes. For this purpose, cadets of the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine study on dynamic simulators.
The simulators are designed to simulate anti-tank missile systems "Fahot", "Stugna-P", "Corsar" and anti-aircraft missile system "Ihla", "FIM-92 Stinger" and simulate real combat conditions.
The cadets are taught by the lecturers of the Department of Fire Training according to a specially developed program. The training course on anti-tank missile complex and anti-aircraft missile complex for servicemen includes theoretical and practical parts.
"An important addition to the equipment of the Academy is the simulator FGM-148 Javelin anti-tank missile complex, the software of which is developed using the engine "Unreal Engine". Such an engine is used in the creation of modern computer games and brings the graphics on the screen closer to real combat conditions", – lecturer of the Department of Fire Training Lieutenant Colonel Yevhen Harbar said.
During the training of practical actions, fire training instructors and lecturers use simulator software to simulate the target, background situation, and set up active and passive obstacles.
"I've been studying at the Academy for 3 years and it's nice for me to see that changes in officer training approaches are moving in the direction of modernization and interactivity. Your training takes place not only in the trenches, but also on modern simulators. This significantly expands thinking, and in a moral sense, you can feel your own value in understanding such learning approaches", – a cadet of the Command and Staff Faculty Oleksandr said.
In the future, the Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine plans to replenish the training base of dynamic simulators and modernize the software.
