Cadets of the Academy completed the Intensive Course of Combat Lifesaver

Cadets-graduates of the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine successfully completed intensive courses in tactical medicine according to TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care) standards of the CLS (Combat Lifesaver) level. The training was organized with the participation of qualified instructors from the international charitable organization "United Help Ukraine", which specializes in assisting Ukrainian military and civilians affected by the war.
The course program covered the main aspects of providing medical care in combat conditions. During the five-day course, the cadets studied monitoring the condition of the wounded on the battlefield, stopping bleeding with tourniquets, packing wounds, using hemostatic agents, ensuring respiratory tract patency and supporting breathing, organizing the evacuation of the wounded from the danger zone and transferring them to a safe place for further assistance.
"Such courses are an important element of training future officers, as knowledge of tactical medicine can save lives on the battlefield. Thanks to the participation of "United Help Ukraine", graduates of the Academy received international certificates, confirming their readiness to act effectively in critical situations", – Lieutenant Yurii Tokarenko says.
We remind that the training is organized in accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation between the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine and the United Help Ukraine Charitable Foundation.
Tactical Medicine Course Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) course of The Combat Lifesaver (CLS) level started at the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine more than a month ago. About 150 cadets from the Command and Staff Faculty have already completed the course.
