L2: Officers from the troops are trained at Tactical Level Military Education Courses
Officers of the Center for Retraining and Advancement of Qualification conduct a Command and Staff course of tactical level L2 for Guardsmen from the troops.
The course is designed to increase the military professional knowledge of officers with a rank of at least "major".
"Our main goal in training students of the L-2 course is to receive a set of professional knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform duties in the positions of battalion commander, battalion chief of staff, deputy battalion commander, and battalion staff officer of the NGU to perform assigned tasks. Students receive the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills regarding the work of headquarters for planning and managing the actions of a tactical level unit (battalion) in the main types of combat and in special operations, and also become familiar with the procedure for the work of the brigade headquarters", – Senior Lecturer at the Department of Professional Training Lieutenant Colonel Serhii Hodlevskyi said about the training process.
In one of the course lessons, the guardsmen gained the necessary knowledge in analyzing the combat capabilities of their units, formulated possible options for actions of troops, determined the main issues of organizing control, interaction, and comprehensive support, and also displayed options for action in battle on the map.
"In my opinion, there is no doubt that battle planning and analysis play a significant role in this war. We have no right to make a mistake, because every mistake is a human life. Therefore, we are very responsible and grateful for the knowledge gained on the course. And the most important, it will use in practice", – participant of the course Mykyta Serhiienko said.
