Science for Victory: Officer of the Academy is the laureate of the Borys Paton National Award of Ukraine

The President Volodymyr Zelenskyi met with the laureates of the 2024 Borys Paton National Award of Ukraine and presented them honorary signs and diplomas.

The awardees include scientists who have distinguished in the development of Ukrainian medicine, protection and restoration of the energy sector, the development of Ukrainian drones and missiles, and in the fields of military intelligence and aviation technology. In total, there are 91 laureates from 12 Ukrainian scientific teams.

"And there are at least 91 proofs that Ukrainian science is alive. It works, it grows, it creates, it strengthens us – Ukraine, Ukrainians, our defense capability, our state", – the President said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyi has emphasized that these are joint achievements of Ukrainian scientists, specialists of the defense-industrial complex of the country, security ministries and departments.

Among the laureates is the Deputy Head for Scientific Work of the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Colonel Ruslan Kaidalov.

The National Award of Ukraine was awarded to the officer for the work “Creation of a model range of specialized armored vehicles”. The work is dedicated to the development and serial production of a model range of specialized multi-purpose armored vehicles with a high level of ballistic and mine protection, which are intended for the transportation and fire support of personnel, the transportation of cargo and special equipment to the area of ​​combat operations or evacuation from it, and the conduct of tactical operations of armed military units.

Colonel Ruslan Kaidalov is the only officer of the Academy that has received this prestigious award, which emphasizes his unique contribution to the development of science and defense capabilities of Ukraine.

"The received award is the result of many years of joint teamwork of scientists, practitioners, and producers of weapons and military equipment. For me personally, this recognition is a powerful incentive for further productive scientific activity and obtaining results that will ensure our Ukrainian victory," – Colonel Ruslan Kaidalov noted.

The Borys Paton National Award of Ukraine was established in May 2021. With it, the President recognizes outstanding scientific research that contributes to the development of the humanities, natural and technical sciences, medicine, education, and environmental protection.
