Officers of the Academy successfully completed Training Courses abroad

Officers of the National Academy of the National Guard arrived from a foreign  deployment, where they were taking training courses.

The Head of the Logistics Department, Colonel Yaroslav Pavlov, took part in the NATO Logistics Operational Course, which was held at the NATO school in Oberammergau village, the Federal Republic of Germany.

The course was aimed at working out issues of interoperability between the NATO member states in order to organize and algorithmize their joint clear actions when performing joint tasks at the operational level, determining the role and place of the Joint Logistics Support Group in the NATO logistics system.

The training course included a wide range of topics aimed at preparing operational-level officers for the effective performance of tasks in a multinational environment.

"We have learned to create a common operational picture, which improves coordination of actions and the effectiveness of operations. Group classes helped to develop teamwork, leadership, and effective communication skills. Lectures and practical classes on operational planning and logistics helped us develop the ability to respond quickly and effectively to the direction of activity in a multinational environment", –  Colonel Yaroslav Pavlov says.

Also, Deputy Head of the Department of International Relations, Information and Communication, Lieutenant Colonel Pavlo Ponomarov, successfully completed the Senior Officers’ Training Course on Security Issues, which was held in Sarajevo, Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The training was aimed to develop strategic perspectives on national security issues and formulated individual and collective views on the concept of security. In addition, participants improved their critical thinking skills and expressed their ideas in a seminar setting.

After the main stage –  a course of lectures on National interests and values, National policy, international relations, the participants of the training received a practical task to create and present national policy projects. In groups of syndicates, the conditions of the government of a fictional country on a fictional continent were formed, which presented a national policy project using the diplomatic, information, military and economic model (DIME).

After completion, the officers of the Academy received certificates of successful completion of the courses.
