A practical lesson on the discipline "Psychological Support of Service and Combat Activities of the National Guard" was held with third-year psychologist cadets of the National Guard Academy under the "Team Building" program.

The class was conducted by a Senior lecturer at the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy, Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology Lieutenant Colonel Andrii Pashchenko.

During the lesson, the cadets were got acquainted with the process of organizing and conducting a training program, during which they improved their practical skills in conducting the exercises "Minefield", "Underground Drain", "Evacuation Route, Escape - II: Destroyed Bridge, Quicksand", "Abyss and Trapeze Jump". Each exercise included a legend and a task that the cadet team had to solve in a specified time.

"All exercises are aimed at forming and uniting the military team for a more qualitative and effective performance of service and combat tasks by the personnel, improving communication between servicemen", – Lieutenant Colonel Andrii Pashchenko notes. "This knowledge and practical skills are necessary for boys and girls to perform their duties successfully, because they will conduct these exercises with personnel in the units to which they will be assigned".

The lecturer adds that for the successful performance of these exercises, it is necessary to be aware of the functional (physical and psychological) characteristics of each group member, to be aware of the proposed circumstances (rules of the exercise), and to develop an action strategy that takes into account both of these components as much as possible.
