02.10.2024 12:08

Military personnel of the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine met with the representatives of the Embassy of Sweden in Ukraine.

During the meeting, guests got acquainted with the activity of the Academy, areas of training and educational processes of the educational institution.

"The National Academy has established relations with the Swedish Embassy, which were initiated even before the full-scale invasion. It is worth noting that since the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation in the Field of Science, Education and Scientific Research between the Academy and the Swedish Defence University, which took place in March 2024, a number of events have already been held, and this is an indicator of real steps of support for both the Academy and the entire National Guard. A number of joint events are planned, namely events to develop educational projects and events related to logistical support for the launched courses. We hope for joint productive work on training of personnel. This is very important for us", –  the acting Head of the Academy Colonel Oleksii Lunov said.

He also added that since the beginning of the Full-scale War, the Academy has undergone many changes related to the educational process. In particular, new disciplines have been introduced, best practices and the latest technologies are being introduced, and work is constantly underway to update educational programs and bring them up to European standards.

"Ukraine is currently going through a very difficult stage, and what the Ukrainian military is currently fighting for is our common values. Your war is our war. The way you adapt and work on educational processes during a full-scale invasion is even more impressive. I am sure that our cooperation will be a useful solution for training personnel. And I want to note that we have made a decision on long-term military support for Ukraine," – the Swedish Ambassador in Ukraine Martin Oberg concluded.
