The Advanced Leadership Course for NCOs of the National Guard of Ukraine has begun at the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine at the Retraining and Advanced Training Center.

The purpose of the courses is to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to perform effectively the duties and tasks of master sergeants.

The Simulation Center has developed and prepared methodological materials, on the basis of which classes are held using the JCATS combat simulation system for training of non-commissioned officers.

This time, the scientific and pedagogical staff of the Retraining and Advanced Training Center and the research worker of the simulation modeling center, Major Karina Bordunova, conducted classes on studying the basics of using simulation modeling tools for military operations and situational awareness systems.

"Modern systems allow not only to get acquainted with the basics of using the "JCATS" simulation system, but also to conduct practical training in combat conditions at designated positions. This provides an opportunity to improve the quality of training and introduce elements of realism when solving tactical tasks," –  Major Karina Bordunova notes.

Military personnel also study staff procedures and acquire skills in military decision-making processes, taking into account national requirements and relevant procedures according to the NATO standards.
