Military educational institutions of the National Guard of Ukraine and the Kingdom of Denmark held the meeting

Representatives of the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine held a joint introductory meeting with a delegation from the Royal Danish Defense College, led by the Head of the College Major General Flemming Mathiasen.

"We highly appreciate the opportunity to exchange experience with the Royal Danish Defense College. The introduction of advanced educational methods and best international practices will contribute to improving the level of training of our military personnel. We are open to further cooperation and joint projects that will allow to develop military education in accordance with modern challenges and threats", – the Acting Head of the Academy Colonel Oleksii Lunov said.

The main purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the system of education and professional training in the National Guard of Ukraine. Representatives of the Danish delegation studied key aspects of curriculum development, implementation of professional military education courses, implementation of combat experience and best practices in the educational process. Special attention was paid to the use of training (simulation) equipment in the educational process.

During the meetings, issues of officers’ training, junior commanders, and specialists were discussed. In particular, the delegation from the Royal Danish Defense College got acquainted with the organization of military command training, planning of military operations, and the use of unmanned systems.

During the visit, the Academy proposed intentions for further cooperation in the field of military education, science, and personnel training. Communication meetings will then be held to determine areas of cooperation.

This visit is an important step in the development of cooperation between the NGU Academy and the Royal Danish Defense College, which will contribute to the exchange of experience and improvement of the military education system.
