How cadets of the Academy conquered the sky

Fourth-year special forces cadets of the Command and Staff Faculty of the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine performed parachute jumps.
The future officers made their first jumps from the Mi-8 helicopter from a height of 600 meters. Twenty-four cadets performed 142 jumps.
Before, the cadets underwent a briefing. Each stowed their parachutes independently under the supervision of parachute service specialists.
"These exercises provide future special forces officers with psychological confidence in making decisions while performing combat missions. During the jumps, the cadets acted confidently and clearly, calculated the landing point on a limited area, avoiding mistakes that could lead to negative consequences", – Senior Instructor and Head of the Parachute Service of the Academy Colonel Volodymyr Khalep notes.
Overcoming the psychological barrier is one of the most important components of a successful landing, and according to a cadet of the special forces group Senior Sergeant Taras Rukavets.
