How future commanders served at the checkpoint using modern technological means

The training on the discipline "Service and Combat Activity of the Units of the National Guard of Ukraine" was held with the third-year cadets. The training was conducted by Associate Professor of the Department of State Security of the Command and Staff Faculty Colonel Ihor Kovaliov together with UAVs Control Instructor of the Department of Unmanned Systems and Electronic Warfare Senior Soldier Oleksandr Maksymchuk.
During the training, the cadets practiced the work of a unit commander in organizing the barrier actions.
During the training, future commanders improved their skills in organization and performance of service in the barrier. The cadets also practiced the graphic part of the decision of the barrier commander with the layout of the group combat mode using the "Kropyva" software package. In addition, the guardsmen conveyed the combat order to the personnel and practiced the actions of the personnel in case of the changes in the operational situation.
During the training, the DJI Mavic 3T multirotor UAVs were used.
"The cadets acted quickly and confidently. All the issues that the future commanders practiced will be useful for them when performing official, combat and special tasks. This applies to the organization of service in military search teams. These skills will also be used when searching for and neutralizing enemy’s sabotage and reconnaissance group and when performing tasks in special operations to search for and detain armed criminals and persons who have escaped from custody", – Colonel Ihor Kovaliov.
