Instructors of the UNIFIER operation of the Canadian Armed Forces in Ukraine conduct joint classes with lectures of the Academy for cadets who are undergoing initial military training.

Such joint classes of fire training already have taken place at the shooting range of the training center. Lectures of the Department of Fire Training together with a foreign instructor conducted classes at 6 training places.

The cadets trained together with foreign instructors to prepare for shooting from different positions, practiced proper aiming at a short distance and determined the range to the target. Then they performed the exercises of the initial shooting.

"Our cooperation is bilateral. We can say that we teach Ukrainian military and we also get some skills from them. I want to note that we have a lot in common in fire training, so it is much easier to give relevant skills to freshmen", – says the UNIFIER operation instructor.

The head of the shooting, Lieutenant Colonel Oleksandr Markov, noted that such classes are important for the young recruits of the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine.

"Classes with foreign experts makes it possible to increase the level of training according to the NATO standards. In general, I am satisfied with the results of the cadets first shooting. Boys and girls quite skillfully complied with all the standards, for which they received positive comments from the foreign instructor as well", – says Lieutenant Colonel Oleksandr Markov.

In addition, classes were held on tactical medicine. The expert of the Academy and the foreign instructor taught cadets how to provide first aid.
The boys and girls will have two weeks of training in the field with foreign instructors and a field training, which will be attended necessarily by the representatives of the UNIFIER operation.
