The Canadian and American military took part in a field training of the newly trained cadets
At the training center of the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine a field training of cadets who had been undergoing a course of initial military training for a month was conducted. The main feature of this year's field training is that the military of the Canadian Armed Forces Joint Task Force-Ukraine (Op UNIFIER) and the Doctrine and Education Advisers Group (DEAG) took part in the training.
The field training was conducted in two stages. Foreign instructors worked with the cadets and shared their vision according to all the classes during the month.
During the first day, representatives of Canada and the United States visited the training places where the newly trained cadets trained. The Guards practiced tactics in various types of combat, worked with military equipment, trained on a psychological area, provided first aid to the wounded and performed machine- gun shooting exercises.
During the second stage of the field training, foreign specialists together with the young recruits worked on the tactical field of the training center. Canadian military found out how cadets have determined the direction of movement using azimuth, set up a platoon base, directed the actions of personnel during the offensive.
In addition, the foreign instructors noted that the National Guard of Ukraine is significantly quickly moving forward mutual cooperation due to the great desire and professionalism of the Guards.
"We are working to implement changes in the cadet training system. During the field training, we thoroughly studied the initial training program. In general, it is noticeable that during this month the cadets received good and professional training that is needed for a modern officer”, - said a representative of the Doctrine and Education Advisers Group (DEAG).
It should be noted that the instructors of the Operation UNIFIER for two weeks conducted joint classes with the instructors of the Academy for cadets who underwent initial military training. Representatives of the Canadian Armed Forces Joint Task Force-Ukraine provided the Guards with new skills in fire training, tactical medicine, topography, tactical and psychological training.
