The results of the two-week visit of the foreign representatives were discussed at the Academy
The National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine hosted a final meeting between the leadership of the educational institution and representatives of the Canadian Joint Task Force in Ukraine (Operation UNIFIER).
According to the agreement between the Ukrainian and Canadian parties, the three UNIFIER military men worked together with the representatives of the Academy in certain areas for two weeks.
"We are grateful to the officers of the Canadian Armed Forces for their cooperation. During two weeks of work at the Academy, they passed a lot of valuable information to the Guards. We also understand that the procedure for training the military in each country is different but the exchange of experience always shows the prospects and importance of communication between the parties", – said Olexandr Morozov.
Thus, during the period of work at the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine, officers of the Armed Forces of Canada held a briefing with representatives of the Department of Tactics and provided assistance to them in improving training programs. There was also a briefing with representatives of the Euro-Atlantic Integration Department. It was important to hold joint classes on strategic communications of UNIFIER military operations with the involvement of lecturers from the Department of Philology, Translation and Strategic Communications and representatives of the Department of Euro-Atlantic Integration. In addition, foreign language classes were held in the format of "Speaking Club" with cadets of the Faculty of Humanities on "Military Education" and with the introduction of the intellectual game Jeopardy.
"I can say with confidence about the success of our joint work. One of the most important achievements, in my opinion, was the implementation of changes to tactical training programs", – said Captain Trevor Smith, Commander of the UNIFIER Training Program Development Group. – We are ready to continue to help you to implement new standards in the training programs of the Academy".
During the final meeting, the leadership of the National Guard Academy discussed the issue of further cooperation with the representatives of the OpUNIFIER. In particular, it is proposed to involve foreign representatives of the Canadian Joint Task Force in Ukraine (Operation UNIFIER) in conducting trainings with lecturers and instructors of the Academy "TLP", "MDMP" and "OPP". To involve the foreign military into foreign language training with cadets and strategic communications classes. The issues of training of the military of the Acedemy in the areas of combat, logistical and moral-psychological support by the representatives of the UNIFIER operation were also considered.
